Einstein SEED 2030 funded!

We are elated that the Einstein SEED 2030 fund proposal by Prof. Dr. Sridhar Mani, co-sponsored by our Chemical Synthesis Core and the Proteomics core, will receive funding! Our contribution will help to continue the drug discovery and study of microbially-derived indoles as weak PXR ligands (FKK series). This collaboration aims at deciphering the exact mechanism by which FKK6 engages PXR and represses intestinal inflammation.

The Einstein SEED 2030 fund is supported by the recent $100 million anonymous gift to Einstein, and provides approx. $700,000/year to support studies by investigators to generate the critical data and proof of concept studies as a pathway toward NIH funding.
