Targeting CDK9 To Improve Outcomes in Colorectal Cancer
Our lab is advancing a translational research program centered on the transcriptional regulator CDK9 in colorectal cancer. CDK9 drives aberrant transcriptional programs in tumor cells, and recent work demonstrates that its pharmacological inhibition suppresses proliferation, induces apoptosis, and impairs downstream signalling pathways such as the MAPK cascade in patient-derived CRC models.
Combating KRAS G12D Resistance in Colorectal Cancer
Resistance to KRAS G12D inhibitors poses a major barrier in treating advanced colorectal cancer. This project uses high-throughput screening to uncover novel small molecules that enhance the efficacy of the KRAS G12D inhibitor MRTX1133 and overcome acquired resistance.
